1 small red onion, diced
green lettuce
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
Dressing:
1/8 t hot pepper sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup oil
1 tablespoon fresh parsley
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Melt:
3 tablespoons sugar over low heat, add 1/2 cup slivered almonds. Cool and break into small pieces.
Just before serving, pour dressing over salad and top with sugared almonds.
